It’s been a while since I’ve updated but life has been a crazy since my last post. Before I share my 2023 goals I want to reflect on 2022.
Since August, I have completed 3 races, trained quite a bit and I met my personal goal of completing a 50k.
Way back in early October I completed a little of 31 miles (check it out here) at the Cape Fear 24 hr run. I am extremely proud of this considering I barely did any training. I learned quite a bit about pacing, eating and what training is needed to be successful.
Later on in October I completed the Medoc 10 miler. I have completed the 5 miler a few different times in the past. This is extremely well organized run in the Medoc State Park. This one should be one you should try out!
Lastly for 2022, I ran a few miles at the Tideland 24hr. This was my first time running this event and I plan to be back for this. The trail was beautiful and the race director and volunteers were all top notch.
What’s the plan for 2023?
I have looked over runningintheusa.com and ultrasign.com for all different types of races. I love trail races and hopefully I can run a few this year. I have not set any specific race goals yet for 2023. I have floated around the idea to run 5k, 10k, Half and Full and maybe 50k.

As for this site, I plan to upload more including race reports and reviews. My wife and I have signed up for a local 5k the Milltown Java Jog 5k. I plan to sign up for races this week.
