WELCOME EVERYONE!
How many times do you go for a run and realize you were actually doing more than running?
Welcome everyone (walkers, joggers, runners, shufflers) to notonlyrunning.com. I’m Bradley Clements and I’m married to my wonderful wife Brittany. We have 3 beautiful little girls that are full of energy!
How we started
I started running only a few years ago. No high school or college runner here. Growing up, I was never good at sports.
It was my wife who pushed/pulled me to start running. Back in 2015, she set a goal of running a 5k. It was October and she realized that she hadn’t even ran race yet. We decided to sign up together to run a local 5k Turkey Trot. And since then we have not stopped. After many bins of race shirts and medals, laughing and crying, this is part of our family. Fast forward to present day and after many many shoes we are still running (mostly). Sometimes it’s only a shuffle or just a nice walk but it’s outside and we love it.
I am not a fast runner but I have won a few medals (not only participation ones). I would like to share all those experiences with you. From winning an overall race to being dead last in my age group (marathon)
But why not only running
Think about this for a minute…
Any time you go for a run/walk/jog/shuffle you are always doing more than moving your legs. For some people it’s to get healthy, others to train for that specific race and others it’s just to clear your head for that day. And for all these different reasons is why it’s not only running. I want to explore the different ideas and the different whys for people go running, walking or in general exploring. I hope that if you are reading this you will start to recognize that running has more meaning.
